Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Diss Factsheets

Administrative data

Endpoint:
boiling point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling
the study does not need to be conducted because chemical change occurred during the melting point study
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2004-06-07 - 2004-07-19
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
Version / remarks:
27 July 1995.
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Specific details on test material used for the study:
please refer to Test material information
Key result
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
>= 569 - <= 571 K

Similar thermographic profiles were obtained using air and nitrogen atmospheres; this indicates that the observed decomposition in the determinations is probably thermal and not oxidative.

Conclusions:
The test material has been determined to decompose at approximately 569 to 571 K (295.5 to 298 °C), prior to melting.
