Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test material to Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 201, EU Method C.3, EPA OTS 797.1050 and EPA OPPTS 850.5400 under GLP conditions. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

Algae were exposed to the test material for 96 hours at a limit concentration of 100 mg a.i./L under static conditions. There were no abnormalities detected in any of the control and test cultures and no effects on either the growth rate or biomass.

Under the conditions of this study, the 96 h EC50 was greater than 100 mg ai/L. Correspondingly the No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) was 100 mg ai/L.
