Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Acute immobilisation in Daphnia has been investigated on the registered substance itself and three structural analogues of the substance. Tests were conducted according to OECD test methods and dissolution/dispersion agents were used to increase concentration of two of the substances in the test medium. In these studies the EC50 (48h) was determined to be >100 mg/L and the NOEC was 100 mg/L. Other studies resulted in the same outcome but investigated the effects of a water accommodated fraction resulting in significantly lower levels of exposure.

In contrast with the experimental values from the tested structural analogues, QSAR estimates for the registered substance predict EC50 values ranging from 4.5 mg/L to 6 mg/L. Similar values are obtained from QSAR estimates of the three structural analogues and it is considered that modelling may not be a reasonable predictor for these substances as a result of the low water solubility of these substances.
