Persistence assessment
In a study conducted according to OECD 301D Guideline, the test substance was considered to be readily biodegradable. As such, the test substance does not fulfil the requirements of REACH Annex XIII, Para 1.1 and considered “not P/vP”.
Bioaccumulation assessment
The estimated log Pow of the substance using EPI Suite is 9.54, which indicated some potential for bioaccumulation. However, the substance is also readily biodegradable and will therefore not persist in the environment. Overall, no potential for bioaccumulation is expected.
Toxicity assessment
The substance does not meet the criteria to be considered as T.
Overall assessment
Based on the above information, the substance fulfils the criteria for toxicity. However, it does not meet the criteria for persistence or bioaccumulation, hence is not considered to be a PBT.
