Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
toxicity to terrestrial arthropods: long-term
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with REACH Regulation 1907/2006, Annex IX, Column 2, studies of the effects on terrestrial organisms need not be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. It is proposed that testing is waived as, although the substance has a high Kow of 9.03 and the potential for high adsorption to soil, it can be regarded as readily biodegradable indicating that it will not remain in the environment.

Description of key information

Studies of the effects on terrestrial organisms need not be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.

It is proposed that testing is waived as, although the substance has a high Kow of 9.03 and a high potential to adsorb to soil, it can be regarded as readily biodegradable indicating that it will not remain in the environment.
