Additional information

No reliable data are available for abiotic and biotic degradation in the different environmental compartments. However, testing can be waived based on the characteristics of the UGI products (highly insoluble in water) and the fact that these products are inorganic substances. For the endpoints environmental distribution and bioaccumulation read-across strategies with Ti and TiO2 respectively are proposed for UGI products, since it is assumed that at equilibrium UGI-derived Ti will have the same fate and distribution as the ambient Ti in the environment.
