- For 100 mg/L loadings: The sample increased the pH beyond the buffering capacity of the system used by the protocol, increasing the CO2 to higher flow rate decrease the pH, but not reaching the required 6, with the results of pH of around 5 in the blanks. Therefore as recommended in the protocol the pH was let to drift and the change in pH should be considered an intrinsic property of the substance.
