Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The partition coefficient of the tested substance (Octadecenyl-1,3-propanediamine, CAS No 7173-62-8) is determined to 0.0 (log Pow).  The tested substance has a longer carbon chain compared to the registered substance. A longer carbon chain results in a higher partition coefficient, thus this study is a worst case scenario.

A supporting study has determined the partition coefficient to -0.6 (log Pow). The tested substance (Amines, N-C12-14-alkyltrimethylenedi- , CAS No 90640-43-0) is very similar to the registered substance. The difference is that the tested substance has a slightly shorter carbon chain and thus should have a slightly lower Log Pow value.
