Although the study did not meet the guideline criterion for the dissolved oxygen concentration being >= 60% throughout the test, the study is considered valid as no mortality was observed in the two controls, both of which had similar low measured oxygen concentrations to the test solutions in the spent solutions at 24 and 48 hour.
