Additional information

Based on short-term study for aquatic organisms results representing all three trophic levels, the EC50 (48h) for daphnid of 22 mg/L is taken for the assessment. The EPM is used for determining sediment PNECs.

PNEC stp should read >2.8 mg/L.

Conclusion on classification

There is limited potential for bioaccumulation of the substance. There was no biodegradation observed in a ready biodegradation study. Short-term studies are available for fish, daphnid, and alga for the purpose of classification, where LC50 and EC50 results are above 10 mg/L.

According to EU classification criteria, the substance is classified as R52/53 under Directive 67/548/EEC and Aquatic Chronic Category 3 under CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
