Additional information

Short-term toxicity to fish:

Acutely harmful to fish: 96 -h LC50 = 28.3 mg/L (OECD 203; Danio rerio; analytically verified; BASF SE, 2012. Project no. 17F0730/11X321)

Long-term toxicity to fish:

Not required.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

Acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates: 48 -h EC50 = 22.3 mg/L (OECD 202; Daphnia magna; analytically verified; BASF SE, 2012. Project no. 50E0730/11X320)

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

Not required

Toxicity to aquatic algae and plants:

Acutely harmful to aquatic algae: 72 -h ErC50 = 16.4 mg/L; 72 -h ErC10 = 4.7 mg/L (OECD 201; Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata; analytically verified; BASF SE, 2012. Project no. 60E0730/11X319).

Toxicity to microorganisms:

The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriately low concentrations.

The toxicity is assessed in a short-term respiration inhibition tests (OECD 209). The 30 -min EC20 was ca. 550 mg/L (BASF AG, 1998; report no. 98/320/08/1).
