Description of key information
The substance was not readily biodegradable under the conditions of the modified Sturm test. A biodegradation of 2-12 % after 28 days was observed.
The substance was slowly biodegraded in modified MITI test. An ultimate biodegraded by 55.5 % at the end of the test was observed.

The biodegradability of the substance was determined according to OECD Guideline 301 B. After 29 days a biodegradation of 2 -12 % (parameter: CO2 evolution) was observed. The substance was not readily biodegradable under the conditions of the modified Sturm test performed.
The inherent biodegradability of the substance was assessed according to OECD Guideline 302 C (Inherent Biodegradability: Modified MITI Test (II)). The test item was exposed to to activated sludge from the aeration tank of a domestic waste water treatment plant for 28 days. The biodegradation was follwed by the oxygen uptake of the micro organisms during exposure.
The grade of primary degradation was assessed by measurement of the test item concentration in the test vessels by a substance specific analysis (HPLC).It can be concluded that the test substance was slowly biodegraded in an aqueous system. The potential of the activated sludge is present bbecause the substance was ultimate biodegraded by 55.5 % at the end of the test.
