Conclusion on classification

The substance is not been shown to be rapidly biodegradable, and has an aquatic toxicity of 2.2 mg/L (i.e., the 21 -day NOEC in Daphnia magna), indicative of an aquatic hazard chronic classification of Category Chronic 3, in accordance with the GHS classification in Regulation EC No. 1272/2008. Therefore, the substance is assigned the hazard statement "H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects", Precautionary statement prevention P273 and Precautionary statement disposal P501.  This determination is not sufficient to show rapid degradation, in the absence of information regarding the classification of the degradation products in accordance with Section R.7.9.5 ofGuidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment: Chapter R.7b: Endpoint-specific guidance (ECHA, May 2008, pp. 182-187).
