Description of key information

The recovery rates of 5-amino-2-methyl-phenol in acetone/water (99.5 %) and DMSO (100.3 %) demonstrated excellent stability under test condition.

Additional information

The identity, purity and stability of 5-amino-2-methyl-phenol were determined using appropriate analytical techniques.

The identity and content of the test material were determined using NMR-spectroscopy. The stability of 5 -amino-2 -methyl-phenol in acetone/water (1:1, v/v) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was tested at ambient temperature over a total period of 2 hours using HPLC chromatography coupled with UV detection.

The1H-NMR-spectra confirmed the chemical identity of 5-amino-2-methyl-phenol and showed a content of 98.2 weight%. No signals indicating proton-containing impurities were observed.

The recovery rates of 5 -amino-2 -methyl-phenol in acetone/water (99.5 %) and DMSO (100.3 %) demonstrated excellent stability under test conditions.
