Individual Results:

The test item consists of very small irregular shaped particles.

For each test series fractions (left axis of the ordinate) and the siftings (right axis of the ordinate) are presented in volume % as a function of the particle size.

The median particle size L50 (D (v, 0.5): 50 % of particle volume or particle mass with lower particle

diameter) deduced from these distributions are:

1 st test series: L50 = 28.17 μm

2nd test series: L50 = 27.50 μm

The average of the median particle size L50 is L50 = 27.8 μm

The particle size L10 (D (v, 0.1 ): 10 % of particle volume or particle mass with lower particle

diameter) deduced from these distributions are:

1st test series: L10 = 4.54 μm

2nd test series: L10 = 4.44 μm

The average of the particle size L10 is L10 = 4.5 μm

The particle size L90 (D (v, 0.9): 90 % of particle volume or particle mass with lower particle

diameter) deduced from these distributions are:

1st test series: L90 = 144.41 μm

2nd test series: L90 = 138.88 μm

The average of the particle size L90 is L90=141.6μm

The percentage of particles with a particle size < 2 μm is approx. 4 % by mass of the total test item and the percentage of particles with a particle size > 200 μm is approx. 5 % by mass of the total test item.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The median particle size L50 of the test items deduced from the particle size distributions is 27.8 μm.
The particle size L10 of the test items deduced from the particle size distributions is 4.5 μm.
The particle size L90 of the test items deduced from the particle size distributions is 141 .6 μm.
