The test item indicated no self-ignition up to its melting point of about 60°C

In the investigation of self-ignition for the test item a small endothermic effect was observed starting at a temperature of approximately 60°C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. A melting point of 60°C was determined during the vapour pressure test conducted in the same laboratory (reference: Study No. CSL-15 -0966.01). No further thermal effects could be observed up to the maximum test temperature of 400°C. After the test, the wire basket was empty. Due to this result, the test item does not have a self-ignition temperature.

Conclusions:
The test item indicated no self-ignition up to its melting range from 55 to 80°C according to EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids).
