Tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite is poorly biodegradable.

In a CO2 evolution test performed according to OECD guideline 301B the biodegradation of tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite was investigated [Ciba, 1989]. After 28 days approximately 6 % degradation of tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite was determined.
