Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In the acute algal toxicity test none of the UGI exhibited more than 50% effect at a 100 mg/L loading (7 days). Therefore, the unbounded 72-h EC50 is > 100 mg/L. UGI show effect levels in most cases well below the 10% chronic effect level. This is not surprising since chemical analysis results from previous transformation/dissolution tests do indicate that releases of most metal concentrations are very close or below detection limits (Skeaff and Hardy, 2007). The unbounded 72h-EC10 is > 1 mg/L for all the UGI products.
