Additional information

Strontium ferrite substance is a solid substance at 20 °C and 1013 hPa and remains a solid up to more than 1400 °C. Strontium ferrite can be considered as insoluble in water (water solubility < 0.08 mg/L). No solubility occurs in acetone, alcohol, oil.

Relative density is 5100 kg/m³ at 20 °C. Its particle size distribution is as follows:

D10 < 9 µm

D50 < 19 µm

D90 < 43 µm.

Strontium ferrite showed to be non flammable and to not have oxidizing properties when being tested. The dissociation constant in water (as pKa) was determined to be 7.1.

All study result as well as the justifications for non-submission of certain data did not reveal the need for classification as a hazardous substance according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC or EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008
