Method

Type of population:
occupational
Ethical approval:
not applicable
Details on study design:
Occupational medical surveillance of workers exposed to Mefenpyr-diethyl, performed every 3 years on a routine basis, not directly related to exposures. The examinations included physical, orientating neurological examinations (reflexes, sensibility, coordination), laboratory examinations (blood count, AST, ALT, y-GT, creatinin, urine) and technical examinations (audiometrie, sonography, spirometry, ECG) of 38 workers.

Results and discussion

Results:
Occupational medical surveillance of workers exposed to Mefenpyr-diethyl, performed every 3 years on a routine basis, not directly related to exposures, did not reveal any unwanted effects in the workers. During the production period(s) from 2000 to 2004 no accidents with Mefenpyr-diethyl occurred in the workers, and no consultations of the Medical Department due to work or contact with Mefenpyr-diethyl were required.
