Description of key information

Determination of the Partition Coefficient (n-Octanol/Water) of FAT 40858/A TE by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The partition coefficient of the test item was to be determined from its retention time on a RP 18 column in comparison with recommended reference items. No retention was found for the test item.

Therefore the logarithmic partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of the test item was estimated to be below 0.3 (lowest available reference value) using the HPLC method at pH 7.
