Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, two boiling points of the test substance was determined to be 127ºC (range 120 to 127ºC) and 263ºC (range 260 -263ºC).
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the boiling point of test substance, C16-18 TMAC (72.78% active) using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), under nitrogen atmosphere (20 mL/min). Two boiling pionts were detected showing the phase transitions for test substance. The boiling point 1 corresponded to the evaporation of residual ethanol, since the test substance is a paste,. Under the study conditions, two boiling points of the test substance was determined to be 127ºC (range 120 to 127ºC) and 263ºC (range 260 -263ºC) (Borjesson, 2012).

Description of key information

The boiling point of the test substance was determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) (Börjesson J, 2012).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
263 °C

Additional information

(two boiling points (127ºC and 263ºC) were detected showing the phase transitions for test substance, where the first boiling point corresponded to the evaporation of residual ethanol as the test substance is a paste.
