Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move exposed person to fresh air. In case of indisposition
seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. If irritation
occurs, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove affected clothes immediately. Wash with plenty of
water immediately. If irritation occurs, seek medical
advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water. Seek medical advice immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon monoxides and carbon
and nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide and other derivatives.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear protective clothing (dust mask, coverall, safety
goggles and impermeable gloves). Sweep up (wetpowders with
water) using suitable absorption medium and place in
suitable, closed containers for disposal. Dispose of waste
material in authorized incineration facility.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance is stored, handled and used in conditions of
good industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local
regulations in order to avoid exposure to skin, eyes and by
inhalation.
Engineering controls will be used i.e. containment charging
facilities that are designed to provide the operator with
maximum protection from the substance. The unit is designed
to handle high toxicity substances during the highest
exposure risk step of the operation i.e. charging to the
reaction vessel. Proper standard will be used to eliminate
any risk arising from static charges when handling the
substance.
Storage: The substance to be stored in well sealed and secure
containers in adequate rooms at room temperature.
Residues outside the containers to be avoided.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance is supplied in 50 Kg fibre drums

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Not known.
Chemical reaction with water: No dangerous reaction with water.
Dust explosion: The substance will be handled such that it does not pose any
risk from a dust explosion hazard, all charging operations
will be properly inerted to eliminate this risk.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will be used in a further chemical processing
step and any further recycling is not possible due to the
fact that the traces of substances are contained in the
solvent waste streams which are incinerated.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not suitable for deposit in landfill site.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Code 661:
Incinerator with flue gas scrubbing.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Code 641:
