Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove promptly to fresh air. If not breathing, administer
artificial respiration and seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes, including under
eyelids.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give large quantities of water, if conscious.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, water,
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen. Irritant sulphur oxides may
also be released.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear usual firefighting equipment e.g. self-contained
breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect spilled material in a dry state, with a vacuum
cleaner, and place in containers for disposal by
incineration. Avoid waste discharge to drains/surface
water.
Handling and storage
Handling: The workplace atmosphere should be controlled by
ventilation. Gloves and protective clothing should be worn.
Storage: Store at room temperature in sealed containers.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 2 kg lots of the material are placed into 5 litre brown,
plastic bottles: 8 or 3 bottles are packed in 100 or 75
litre fibre drums. The drums are labelled on the outside.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None known.
Chemical reaction with water: None known.
Dust explosion: as the substance is a fine powder, a dust explosion hazard
might exist, but the absence of observed ignition in the A10
test and the minimisation of dusting due to use in solvent
solution together imply little explosion risk during use.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: During normal use, waste material is recycled for prompt
re-use.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Preferred method.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable.
