Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

An experimental study was conducted similar to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 Method A.1. and OPPTS 830.7200 to determine the freezing range of the test items. The freezing point is defined as the temperature at which the phase transition from liquid to solid state takes place. Ther differential scanning calorimeter methode was used STARe version 6.01 software was used for all determinations. The instrument was calibrated using an Indium reference standard before use. Air was used to purge the instrument and the measuring cells. Test scans were made against an empty aluminium pan as the reference sample. A sample between 7 and 8 mg of both test substances (Purified Active and Technical Active) was weighted into an aluminium DSC pan (40 uL). The pans were then sealed with pierced aluminium lids and scanned before defined temperature programs (initial and definitve). The freezing temperature for both Test substances was Below -70.0 °C (203.2 K).
