Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

To assess the biodegradation potential of DAP-MCDA, a GLP-guideline study according to OECD 301B was performed (BASF SE, 2019, report no.: 22G0592/17G604). As inoculum activated sludge from the municipal wastewater treatment plant of Mannheim, Germany, was used. The test duration was prolonged to 60 days. All validity criteria were fulfilled.

After 60 days, a degradation of 19% CO2/ThCO2 was observed (the duration of the adaptation phase was around 55 days). Hence, the substance cannot be considered readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).
