Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Comments

This endpoint has been exempted under Column 2 of Annex VII, Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council as the test substance was found to decompose before boiling

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, boiling point of the test substance could not be determined due to decomposition (57 - 222°C).
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the boiling point of the test substance, C12-14 HEDMAC ( ≥ 90% active) using siwoloboff method according to the OECD Guideline 103 and EU Method A.2, in compliance with GLP. During the test, suspected decomposition of the test substance observed from approximately 57°C to 222°C (sample changed to translucent at 57.1°C followed by evolution of gas and rising of sample up the capillary tube). Under the study conditions, boiling point of the test substance could not be determined due to decomposition (57 - 222°C) (Bee, 2019).

Description of key information

The boiling point of the solvent-free test substance (≥ 90% active) was determined using siwoloboff method, according to the OECD Guideline 103 and EU Method A.2 (Bee, 2019).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No boiling point could be determined due to decomposition of the test substance between 57 - 222°C.
