Additional information

The substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days). Furthermore, the substance known for its high degree of effectiveness as a flame suppressant and is used as a replacement for halon-containing fire extinguishing agents. The test substance is included in the NFPA 2001 Standard on clean agent fire extinguishing systems, 2018. This document is attached in this endpoint summary as supporting information.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available information, the test substance is not classified as flammable gases, self heating substance, pyrophoric liquid or substance which in contact with water emits flammable gases in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation No. (EC) 1272/2008.
