First-aid measures

General information
When in doubt or if symptoms are observed, get medical advice.

After inhalation
Provide fresh air.
If experiencing respiratory symptoms and/or feeling unwell call a physician.

After contact with skin
Wash with PEG400, then with plenty of water and soap.
If irritation persists seek medical advice.

After contact with eyes
Rinse eyes with water as a precautionary measure.
If eye irritation persists call an ophthalmologist.

After ingestion
Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person or a person with cramps.
Call a doctor if you feel unwell.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
No further relevant information available.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media
Water spray, alcohol resistant foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry sand

Unsuitable extinguishing media
High power water jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In general: For flammable organic substances dust explosion potential is assumed when finely dispersed in air.
Emission of irritating and toxic fumes and gases. In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon dioxide (CO2); Carbon monoxide (CO)

Advice for firefighters
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapor / mist / spray. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Use personal protection equipment. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.

Environmental precautions
Avoid release to the environment.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Take up mechanically. Avoid dust formation. Treat the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal. Provide adequate ventilation. Clean up affected area.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice: Do not eat, drink, and smoke. Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Usual measures for fire prevention. Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.

Requirements for storage rooms and vessels
Keep in a cool place. Keep container tightly closed.

Advice on storage compatibility
Store separated from strong oxidising agents. For storage in a common place refer to the respective regulations.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Additional advice on limit values
Dust limits (inhalable and alveolar fraction) must be respected under consideration of national provisions.

Appropriate engineering controls
Provide sufficient ventilation and/or local exhaust system.

Protective and hygiene measures
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice: Do not eat, drink, and smoke. Wash hands before break and after work. Take off contaminated clothing.

Eye/face protection
Wear tightly fitting safety goggles. (DIN EN 166)

Hand protection
Wear suitable gloves. (DIN EN 374)
The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves. Due to missing tests no material recommendation can be given.

Skin protection
Wear suitable protective clothing. Choose suitable personal protection equipment dependant on substance concentration and amount specific for workplace. Resistance against chemicals should be clarified with the supplier.

Respiratory protection
In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection. Respiratory protection mask with Filter P1 recommended. Maintenance, testing and change of the filter cartridges must be performed following the recommendations of the supplier.

Environmental exposure controls
Avoid release to the environment.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity
This material is considered to be non-reactive under normal storage conditions.

Chemical stability
The substance is chemically stable under recommended conditions of storage, use and temperature.

Possibility of hazardous reactions
Dust explosion capability can be assumed. No hazardous reaction when handled and stored according to provisions.
Hazardous polymerisation does not occur.

Conditions to avoid
strong heat, UV-radiation/sunlight

Incompatible materials
strong oxidizing agents,
stong acids,
bases

Hazardous decomposition products
No known hazardous decomposition products

Disposal considerations

Advice on disposal
Chemicals and packages as waste must be disposed of in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC and the respective national and local regulations. Consult your local or regional authorities. Dispose of waste according to applicable legislation.

Contaminated packaging
Non-contaminated packages may be recycled. Handle contaminated packages in the same way as the substance itself.
