Preliminary test

Experimental conditions

·       Room humidity About 38%

·       Room temperature         About 18 °C

·       Atmospheric pressure     99.6 kPa

·       Type of test item             Powder / crystals

Assay No. 1

The test item ignited 30 seconds after applying the flame and the flame stopped after 1 minute and 42 seconds. No propagation was observed.

Assay No. 2

The test item ignited 32 seconds after applying the flame and the flame stopped after 1 minute and 54 seconds. No propagation was observed.

Main test

Taking into account the results obtained during the preliminary test, no main test was performed.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The flammability of Potassium Dibenzyl Phosphate has been investigated according to UN N.1 methods in compliance with GLP. The preliminary screening test showed ignition after Ca. 30 seconds after applying the flame. The flame stopped after Ca. 1 minute and 50 seconds without any propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile.
Performance of the definitive burning rate test is not required.
Based on the results obtained, the test substance was not classified as a flammable solid of Division 4.1 and thus was not assigned to any packing group, under the experimental conditions used.
