Additional information

The acute toxicity on aquatic invertebrates was investigated with the waterflea Daphnia magna, in a guideline study according to OECD 202 [Ciba-Geigy Ltd., 1988].  The test duration was limited to 24 hours of exposure. The EC50(24h) is reported with 69 mg/L test substance (nominal). Based on the low water solubility, the test item was initially suspended in alkylphenol polyglycolether and THF. Nevertheless, small parts of the test substance were swimming at the surface of all test concentrations. Hence it cannot be excluded that undissolved test item caused secondary effects on the test organisms. Therefore, the further assessment of the aquatic toxicity on invertebrates base on the long-term data and the described acute test was disregarded.
