Whilst heating the test item, no relevant exothermic reaction /self-heating of the sample was observed. The temperature/time curve is shown in the attached Figure 1. On completion of the test, the test item was a dark grey powder.

Conclusions:
Copper dichloride has been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below 400 °C.
