Additional information

There is no evidence that triisodecyl benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate is significantly absorbed via the dermal route. The results of repeated dose toxicity studies with closely related structural analogues indicate that triisodecyl benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate may be absorbed orally. Based on read-across from toxicokinetic studies with a closely related structural analogue, it is likely that triisodecyl benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate is partially hydrolysed in the gastrointestinal tract and that metabolism may occur in the liver with the substance being eliminated via the faeces in unchanged form and via the urine in the form of water soluble metabolites.
