Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The test substance began to darken slowly at 170°C (test 1) and 165°C (test 2). The sample completely melted at 247.5°C (test 1) and 248°C (test 2) to produce a brown liquid which solidified, on cooling, to an opaque light-brown solid.

Conclusions:
The melting range of the test substance has been determined as 244.0-248.0°C.
Executive summary:

The melting point/range of the test substance was determined using the metal block method according to EEC Directive 67/548, Annex V, A1 as published in 84/449/EEC. Two tests were run. The results were 244.5 -247.5ºC and 243.0 -248.0ºC for Tests 1 and 2, respectively. The test substance began to darken slowly at 170ºC (test 1) and 165ºC (test 2). The sample completely melted at 247.5ºC (test 1) and 248ºC (test 2) to produce a brown liquid which solidified, on cooling, to an opaque light-brown solid.
