Only one peak identified on HPLC chromatograms attributable to metabolites. This was visible in samples collected on days 1 or 2.

This peak is attributable to monobutyl phthalate and/or monobenzyl phthalate (these substances could not be spectrally distinguished)

This peak is not found is spectrograms of samples taken on day 22, or in samples which were stored in a refrigerator till 60 days after the end of the experiment before analysis.

This suggests that the metabolites degrade rapidly.

Conclusions:
The only metabolites of benzyl butyl phthalate identified were monobutyl phthalate and/or monobenzyl phthalate (these substances could not be spectrally distinguished). The metabolites were found to degrade rapidly.
