Description of key information

The study on a chemically related substance (Rosins, Rosin Salts, Rosin Adducts, Adduct Salts and Rosin Esters (CAS No. 61790-50-9)) was performed no guideline followed. Water Solubility: Rosin acids and resin acids, sodium salt, was mutually miscible with water at ambient laboratory temperature.
QSAR, Wenighofer 2009: The water solubilities of the two main components of Dresinate 314 (potassium salt) were:
- Dehydroabietate, CAS No. 38592-41-5, 43 % (w/w) of Dresinate 314 (potassium salt):35.2 mg/L
- Dihydroabietate, 20 % (w/w) of Dresinate (potassium salt): 31.7 mg/L
- Pimarate, 3 % (w/w) of Dresinate (potassium salt): 39.7 mg/L
- Isopimariate, 3 % (w/w) of Dresinate (potassium salt): 39.7 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
35 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
