Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of SA 01 was measured in a respirometric test over 28 days at a nominal test concentration of 100mg/L. At the end of the test the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) indicated that there had been negligible biodegradation after 28 days. Consequently, SA 01 is considered to be non biodegradable.

Measurement of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of SA 01 gave a value of 0.65g 02/g.

Spectrophotometric and chromatographic (HPLC) analysis of the total bottle contents at the end of the 28 day test period showed mean SA 01 concentrations of 95% and 97% respectively of the nominal starting concentration.
