Two groups of test fish (70 organisms per group) was exposed up to four weeks to water  containing test substance
dissolved in aceton at two nominal concentations 0,025 mg/l and 0,25 mg/l. During the testing, the mortality of fish was
approximately 14%  in all  tested containers and in control (limit is 30% by methods).
BCFs for main component of Dusantox L were determined based on the steady-state and kinetic constants. These values were
based on measured concentrations of the test substance in fish for two tested solution with nominal concentrations of
0,25 and 0,025 mg/l.  No identification of tested substance components was recorded in control -in water and in fish.

Because the tested substance Dusantox L is mix of reaction products and consists of components 6PPD and k-6PPD
mainly, it is necessary to notice that bio-concentration properties evaluation ( BCF determining)  cannot be
technically performed for tested substance an bloc but for her components.
From this reason showed results characterize the BCF of two major components of tested substance -6PPD and k-6PPD
obtained from fish bio-concentration test realized in semi- static (semi-flow) conditions.
From calculations  follow that for component  6PPD the BCF is between 38-110 and for k-6PPD the BCF is between  745-878
(in case of 70-80% steady state) and at intervals 938-1346 (in case of theoretical 100% equilibrium estimation).
To take into account all these circumstances, it results from outcomes that components of Dusantox L, i.e. 6PPD and
k-6PPD achieve BCF values up to 2000, what proves that the substances do not fulfil the bioaccumulation criteria.
This statement is valid even if the worst BCF variant for component k-6PPD is taken into consideration (theoretical
100% equilibrium determination) .
Experimentally were determined BCFs for main components of Dusantox L - 6PPD and k-6PPD.
For k6PPD steady state was not reached, as steady state for 6PPD was rather before. Therefore up-take phase for 6PPD was
stoped a theoretically steady state was calculated. Seeing that component k6PPD is more  bioacumulating in living
organisms, this aspect shoud be considered.
However, the BCFs determined for 6PPD and p-cumyl-6PPD are based on the study, which doesn't satisfy the validity
criteria. During the uptake phase the concentration of the test substance in the chambers was not maintained within
±20% of the mean of the measured values. The measured values for 6PPD and p-cumyl-6PPD differ considerably from the
nominal concentrations (200% and more). Moreover, the concentrations were measured only in fresh solution after
the test water exchange but not at the end of renewal period. Therefore the geometric mean of the measured
concentration can not be calculated. No information is provided on the accuracy, sensitivity, and detection limit
of the analytical method used.
