Boiling point:
Boiling point of test chemical was determined to be 256°C at pressure 760 mmHg.
Density:
Density of test chemical was determined to be 1.168 g/cm³ at the temperature of 20°C.
Particle size distribution (granulometry):
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non-solid or granular form.
Vapour pressure:
Vapour pressure of test chemical was determined to be 1.599 Pa (0.012 mmHg) at the temperature of 20°C.
Further data from other articles, vapour pressure of test chemical was also determined to be 1.33 Pa (0.01 mmHg) at the temperature of 20°C.
Partition coefficient:
Partition coefficient (log Pow)of test chemical was determined to be 1.88 dimensionless.
Water solubility:
Water solubility of test chemical was determined to be 2850 mg/L at 25°C. Therefore, it can be concluded that the test was soluble in water.
Surface tension:
Surface tension of test chemical was determined to be 44.12mN/m at the temperature of 20°C.
Flash point:
Flash point of test chemical was determined to be >100°C.
Auto flammability:
Test chemical did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that test chemical was not auto-flammable.
Flammability:
Flash point of test chemical was determined to be >100°C. On the basis of GHS classification criteria, test chemical has flash point greater than 60°C hence the test chemical was considered to be non-flammable.
Explosiveness:
The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties.
Oxidising properties:
The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied.
Stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products:
The study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical.
Dissociation constant:
Dissociation constant (pKa) value of test chemical was determined to be 2.23 at the temperature of 25°C.
Viscosity:
Kinematic viscosity of test chemical was determined to be 7.14 mm²/s and 4.50 mm²/s at the temperature of 20°C and 40°C, respectively.
