Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Local

No acute effects have been observed following exposure to S190700 and therefore no acute DNELs are required.

Systemic

The only long-term test conducted on S190700 is a 28-day repeated dose oral toxicity study. The only toxicologically significant findings observed in this study were in the 1000 mg/kg/day group and were restricted to agglomeration of secretion and mucous cell hyperplasia in the gastric mucosa of rats of both sexes and acanthosis and hyperkeratosis of the limiting ridge observed among male rats. These gastric changes were considered attributable to the irritant nature of the test material formulation and were, therefore, not considered to represent a true systemic effect of treatment. The conditions underwent slight regression in the 1000 mg/kg/day recovery group following 14-days without treatment. These effects were not seen at the next lowest dose concentration of 250 mg/kg/day and this dose was therefore deemed the study NOEL and also the dose level appropriate for determination of the oral DNEL for systemic effects.

The NOEL from the oral 28-day study is the only dose descriptor applicable for DNEL derivation for systemic exposure given it is the only value relating to long-term exposure. Dose descriptors for long-term dermal and inhalation exposure have been extrapolated from this oral endpoint.
