Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Additional information
The aquatic ecotoxicity database for nonylphenol ethoxylate, sarcosine derivative (CAS number 75627-31-5) is limited to an acute toxicity study with Daphnia magna, an algae toxicity study with Desmodesmus subspicatus and a micro-organisms respiration inhibition study with sewage sludge. Read-across has been used to assess the toxicity to fish and as supporting information for the toxicity to Daphnia.
Further ecotoxicity testing is not proposed because the chemical safety assessment does not indicate the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. Exposure of the aquatic environment is unlikely as emissions to the environment do not occur from the only manufacturing site and the substance is not marketed within the EU. Therefore long term toxicity testing with fish has been waived to avoid further vertebrate testing.
The table provides an overview of the ecotoxicity data used for the hazard assessment of nonylphenol ethoxylate sarcosinate derivative.
