First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Consult a physician for severe cases.

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. Consult a physician for severe cases.

Eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Consult a physician if necessary

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide (CO2). Foam. Dry powder. Water spray.

Specific hazards: During a fire, smoke may contain the original material in addition to unidentified toxic and/or irritating compounds. In the event of fire the following can be released: Carbon oxides.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Standard procedure for chemical fires. In the event of fire, wear self contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Remove all sources of ignition. Do not breathe vapours/dust.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system.

Methods for cleaning up: Take up mechanically and collect in suitable container for disposal. Avoid dust formation.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Practice care and caution to avoid skin contact and inhalation of vapours or mists if generated.

Storage: Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep at temperatures below 40 °C.
