Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Water solubility: > 1000 g/L, 20 °C, OECD 105, EU Method A.6, Groult 1998a

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The water solubility of the test material was determined in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 105 and EU Method A.6. A preliminary solubility test was conducted whereby test material was added to different volumes of water. 24 and 48 hours after shaking the solutions, a visual assessment of solubility was made. The resulting solutions were not saturated, and were red and highly viscous. On the basis of these results, the solubility test was considered to be complete and the test material was concluded to be highly soluble in water (> 1000 g/L).

The study was performed in line with GLP and an accepted standardised guideline with a high level of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria of Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, > 1000 g/L at 20 °C, was taken forward for risk assessment.
