Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms
persist.
In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.
- After skin contact
Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
Generally the product does not irritate the skin.
- After eye contact
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
- After swallowing
Call for a doctor immediately.
Induce vomiting, if person is conscious. Seek medical help.
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing agents: all agents are suitable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
- 5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Under certain fire conditions, traces of other toxic gases cannot be excluded, e.g.: vanadiumoxide
- 5.3 Advice for firefighters
- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
- Additional information
Collect contaminated firefighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated firefighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Avoid formation of dust.
Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
- 6.2 Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
- 6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Pick up mechanically.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Send for recovery or disposal in suitable receptacles.
Handling and storage
Storage: Keep cool, dry and in closed containers
