Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If rapid recovery does not occur,
obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Severe irritant. Do not delay. Flush eye liberally with
water. Obtain medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Irritant. Remove contaminated clothing, wash skin with
water, using soap if available. If persistant irritation
occurs, obtain medical attentation.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomitting. Give nothing by mouth. Obtain
medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Extinguishing agents: dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or
foam.
Product arising from burning: Nitrogen oxides may be formed. Formation of carbon monoxide
where incomplete combustion occurs.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorb the material with sand or earth. Put salvaged
material into a sealable and labelled container. Prevent
from spreading or entering into drains, ditches or rivers by
using sand, earth, or other appropriate barries. Do not
flush away resis\dues with water. Retain as contaminated
waste.
Advice for protective measures:
In general same as under 2.3.1. If the spillage occurs in a
confined space, air supplied breathing apparatus may need to
be used.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with the skin and eyes Advice for protective
measures: Respiratory protection: wear half mask respirator
with organic vapour cartridge, Nominal Protection Factor 20
Eyes: wear chemical monogoggles
Whole body: wear a PVC apron.
Hands: wear PVC gauntlet-type gloves
Feet: wear safety boots - chemical resistant, without lace
holes
Storage: Store under cool and dry conditions in a secure building
away from foodstuffs and out of reach of children.
