Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:

Type of method:
other: An experimental determination could not be performed
Key result
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
The test substance rapidly degrades with a half-life time of <1 hour at 25 °C

An experimental determination of the water solubility could not be performed, because 1) the test substance rapidly degrades with a half-life time of <1 hour at 25 °C and 2) the test substance is a mixture of several compounds for which the guidelines do not apply. Also an estimation by checking the solutions visually for undissolved particles was not possible, as an insoluble polymer is formed.

Conclusions:
An experimental determination of the water solubility could not be performed.
Executive summary:

An experimental determination of the water solubility test for the test material could not be performed, because: 1) the test substance rapidly degrades with a half-life time of <1 hour at 25 °C. Also an estimation by checking the solutions visually for undissolved particles was not possible, as an insoluble polymer is formed.

Description of key information

An experimental determination of the water solubility test for the test material could not be performed. Instead, softwares WSKOWIN v1.41 and WATERNT v 1.01 (EPI Suite v3.12 program) were used to calculate the water solubility for their 3 main components. The water solubility of the test substance was selected to be 6.5E-4 based on the worst case scenario.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.001 mg/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C
