In accordance with point 9.1.4, Column 2 (Specific rules for adaptation), Annex VIII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is found to be readily biodegradable and the applied test concentrations are in the range of concentrations that can be expected in the influent of a sewage treatment plant. The ready biodegradability of the substance (sodium 5-oxo-DL-prolinate) was determined to be 74.4 % after 28 days in the submitted screening study at a concentration of 100 mg/L. Testing for this endpoint has therefore been omitted.
