Spontanraten liegen in den aus Literaturangaben resultierenden Bereichen (de Serres und Shelby, 1979)und stimmen mit den Ergebnissen vorangegangener Prüfungen in im Prüfinstitut überein. Der Befund beim Stamm TA 1537 im Plattentest unter Mitwirkung des S9 -Mix in dem das Lösungsmittel 1%ige Salzsäure eine Verringerung der Spontanrate auf 0,4 bewirkte, wurde durch den Präinkubationstest nicht bestätigt und kann als zufällig bewertet werden.
Beim Stamm TA 1537 kam es unter Mitwirkung des metabolisierenden Systems in allen Konzentrationen zu einer Verdoppelung der Revertanten-Zahlen im Vergleich zur Lösungsmittelkontrolle. Diese Erhöhung ist nicht konzentrationsabhängig und wurde durch den zwieten, den Präinkubationstest nicht bestätigt. Es ist anzunehmen, dass dieser Befund nicht auf eine Substanzwirkung zurückzuführen ist. Als Ursache dafür ist vielmehr die weiter oben beschriebene und als zufällig bewertete Verringerung der Reveratanten-Zahl bei der Lösungsmittelkontrolel 1%ige Salzsäure in dieser Versuchsreihe anzusehen.
