Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation : Get medical attention immediately. Move exposed person to fresh air. If it is suspected that fumes are still present, the rescuer should wear an appropriate mask or self-contained breathing apparatus. It may
be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek immediate medical attention.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. In the event of swallowing, induce patient to drink plenty of water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention.
Skin contact: Get medical attention immediately. Flush contaminated skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes. Chemical burns must be treated
promptly by a physician. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse.
Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open and remove contact lenses if present and easy to remove. Seek immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable: Substance does not pose any flammable or self-ignition hazard. Any fire fighting measure is suitable which is appropriate for the surrounding area.
Not suitable: None known.
Hazardous combustion products: Decomposition products may include the following materials: sulfur oxides.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilt material. Avoid
breathing vapour or mist. Provide adequate ventilation. Put on appropriate personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Avoid dispersal of spilt material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers. Inform the relevant authorities if the product has caused environmental pollution (sewers,
waterways, soil or air).
Large spill: Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill area. Prevent entry into sewers, water courses, basements or confined areas.
Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible, absorbent material e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite or diatomaceous earth and place in container for disposal according to local regulations. The spilled material may be
neutralized with sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydroxide.
Small spill: Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill area. Dilute with water and mop up if water-soluble or absorb with an inert dry material and place in an appropriate waste disposal container.
Handling and storage
Handling: Put on appropriate personal protective equipment. Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is handled, stored and processed. Workers should wash hands and face before
eating, drinking and smoking. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing. Do not breathe vapour or mist. Do not ingest. If during normal use the material presents a respiratory hazard, use only with adequate ventilation or
wear appropriate respirator. Keep in the original container or an approved alternative made from a compatible material, kept tightly closed when not in use. Keep away from alkalis. Empty containers retain product residue
and can be hazardous.
Storage: Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well ventilated area and food and drink. Separate from alkalis. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use.

Materials to avoid:
Reacts with metals and metal salts, organic materials, products which release a dangerous gas when in an acidic medium
such as chlorites, hypochlorites, sulphites, sulphides. Contains a strong acid, reacts violently with caustics, attacks many
metals giving off a highly flammable gas (hydrogen) which creates fire and explosion hazards.
Hazardous decomposition products: thermal decomposition (pyrolysis) releases corrosive fumes (sulphur oxides, SOx).
Special hazards arising from the substance: attacks many metals giving off a highly flammable gas (hydrogen) which

Disposal considerations
Product: Dispose of as hazardous waste in compliance with local and national regulations.
Contaminated packaging: Empty contaminated packaging thoroughly. They can be recycled after thorough and proper
cleaning. If recycling is not practicable, dispose of in compliance with local regulations.
Waste from residues and unused products: neutralise before disposal (pH 5.5 - 8.5) and dilute with plenty of water. Consult
the manufacturer or supplier for information on salvage and recycle.
