Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

EU Risk Assessment (2008):
The only available Data Set information on sediment organisms includes a single datum on the effect of 2-nitrotoluene on Tubifex sp. The EC50 obtained for this organism is higher than the other for the aquatic invertebrates. For the oligochaeta Tubifex sp., 2 -nitrotoluene has shown a 24-h LC50 of 410 mg/l and 48 -h LC50 of 370 mg/l (these results must be considered under the light of the fact that the mortality in the control was above 10%) (Yoshioka et al., 1986b). (It was not possible to validate this information, since only the abstract was provided in English, and so, even the exposure route could not be determined appropriately).
No data have been provided regarding toxicity on marine sediment organisms.

Description of key information
For transported isolated intermediates according to REACh, Article 18, this endpoint is not a data requirement. However, data is available for this endpoint and is thus reported under the guidance of "all available data".
